Micheal Bluth fighting Thanos to save the world? It could happen. While co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo are best known for their work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War, one of their first big projects in the industry was actually working on the Golden Globe-winning series Arrested Development. The Russo brothers directed a good number of the series' episodes, including the series' pilot. And it looks like there will be some nods to the show in the upcoming sequel.

In a recent interview with Andy McCarroll Movies, the Infinity War directors were asked whether or not we should expect to see anything from Arrested Development in the new Avengers movie. While the pair of directors declined to reveal any details of the movie itself, Joe Russo did at least give us a clue of what to expect. Said Joe Russo.

"There's a few surprises coming. I would say that Arrested Development should fans keep their eyes open in this one."

While this doesn't describe any cameos or Easter Eggs from Arrested Development in detail, it does tell us that we should expect to see at least something from the comedy series in Avengers: Infinity War. This will certainly be fun to look out for, as it is always interesting to find non-Marvel related Easter Eggs and cameos in Marvel movies.

The Russo brothers actually managed to include references to their previous projects in their first two MCU movies as well. The most notable and recognizable appearance was most likely the iconic Bluth Company stair car from Arrested Development which was featured at multiple times during the airport fight in Captain America: Civil War.

In addition to Arrested Development, the Russo brothers were also producers on the comedy series Community, which has managed to receive a fair number of references in The Winter Soldier and Civil War. D.C. Pierson, who played Mark Millot in Community, cameoed as the Apple store employee in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Daniel Pudi, who played Abed Nadir in Community, appeared as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in the same movie.

In Captain America: Civil War, Jim Rash, who played Dean Pelton in Community, appeared toward the beginning of the movie as the MIT staff member who bombarded Tony Stark for funding. It was certainly a humorous cameo for the actor that started the movie on the right foot.

With the number of Community cameos the Russo brothers have put out over the years, it does feel about time that Arrested Development actors made appearances in an Avengers movie as well. As great as it was to see the stair car in Civil War, I am sure fans would certainly appreciate it more if Arrested Development cast members like Michael Cera and David Cross actually popped up in Avengers: Infinity War, even if their appearances were brief and non-comedic.

While Anthony and Joe Russo did not confirm that we should be looking for cameos specifically in their interview with Andy McCarroll Movies, Arrested Development fans should still keep their eyes open. Even if Infinity War just brings back the stair car, it would still add a bit of fun to the movie that is sure to please all fans of the comedy series.
