The Russo Brothers made headlines earlier this year when they revealed that their upcoming Avengers: Infinity War featured a whopping 67 characters. They have also stated that this highly-anticipated movie will unite the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, but fans have wondered if that will include the TV characters such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, along with ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. With production about to begin in a few months, the Russos recently revealed they aren't ruling out any Marvel characters quite yet.

Back in May, the filmmakers teased in an interview that they're more focused on the characters on the movie side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but they are "certainly considering" using the Marvel TV characters. In a new interview with The Toronto Sun, the filmmakers reiterated that they're still considering using the Marvel TV characters, but they won't confirm any details quite yet. Here's what Anthony Russo had to say below, explaining that even characters with smaller roles will have a big impact.

"We do consider everyone. We don't want to get too specific about what's going to happen with these movies. We want these movies to be a surprise for audiences. What we did in Civil War is exactly what we want to do in the Avengers - no matter how much screen time a character has, you can still have a lot of ambition for what you do with that character while you have them."

Joe Russo joked that they have narrowed the list of roles down to 66 characters, from the much-publicized 67 characters they claimed earlier this year. The brothers said back at a May event, at the Smithsonian Institute, that Captain Marvel would be part of the story. At the time, Brie Larson hadn't been officially cast as Carol Danvers, but now that she has been confirmed, Joe Russo had nothing but praise for the casting, having worked with her before on three episodes of their NBC sitcom Community. Here's what Joe Russo had to say, hining at her inclusion in Infinity War once again.

"It's an incredible piece of casting. You couldn't ask for better. Not only is she an amazingly talented actor but she's a wonderful human being. We're really looking forward to the opportunity of re-teaming with her... if we were to get the chance to work with that character."

The Russo Brothers will be working from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who wrote all three Captain America movies. Back in May, the writers revealed the Infinity War script is "impossible to finish" at that point, since the story is continually evolving. Anthony Russo shared that the brothers' favorite "storytelling adage" will come into play in Avengers: Infinity War.

"There's a storytelling adage that Joe and I love, which is write yourself into a corner. If you put yourself in a very difficult place as a storyteller... that becomes where a lot of the excitement and surprise and spontaneity comes from."

Production is scheduled to begin in November, with the Russo Brothers recently sending out a photo from the rehearsal set, featuring Josh Brolin in a full motion capture suit to portray Thanos. The brothers were also recently spotted in Atlanta with Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Tom Holland and Kevin Feige. Hopefully the filmmakers will be able to share more rehearsal photos as we get closer to Avengers: Infinity War starting production.
