Infinity War is just around the corner, and it will bring a number of team-ups between its heroes that we have never seen before. The biggest team-up of the movie, however, has to be the collision between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Though the Guardians have already had two movies of their own in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they have yet to encounter any of the other Marvel heroes. Considering that this will be the first time we see Star Lord and his crew run into the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, we are sure to be in for quite a treat.

With this being the first time the Guardians of the Galaxy are in an Avengers movie, it means it's the first time that the team of cosmic heroes is not being directed by James Gunn, who wrote and directed both Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Anxious to get these characters right, Marvel Studios actually took a leap of action to ensure that their quality remained.

While in attendance at last week's Awesome-Con, Dave Bautista, who plays the brute of the Guardians of the Galaxy Drax, gave those in attendance some insight on how the Guardians were integrated into the grand scheme of things. As it turns out, James Gunn played a part in the writing process of the movie, at least for the parts the Guardians of the Galaxy were involved with.

Not only did Gunn help plan out what exactly the Guardians would be up to during the course of the film, but he even managed to write some of their dialogue. This was a great decision for Marvel Studios to make. While characters like Iron Man and Captain America have been written by a number of different writers over the years, the Guardians, for the most part, have been written solely by James Gunn. Gunn knows the motivations and mannerisms of the cosmic team better than anyone else, which is why it was absolutely vital for Marvel to bring him back for this enormous project.

We actually already knew that James Gunn had some part to play with the development and production of Infinity War, as he is credited as an Executive Producer on the project. While we knew he was playing some part, we didn't actually know the extent of it. The fact that he wrote the dialogue for the Guardians of the Galaxy is certainly reassuring for everyone who was a fan of the cosmic team. It's good to know that our heroes will be the same during Infinity War.

From watching the trailers and leaked footage of Avengers 3 that included the Guardians of the Galaxy, it becomes notable that James Gunn did have something to do with the writing. During the second full trailer for Infinity War, Star Lord goes on a humorous rant about how he can make a plan better than Iron Man's. This certainly feels like the Star Lord we know and love, and it's very possible that this memorable moment would not have occurred had James Gunn not been brought on to help with the script. All in all, this source of news reported by Superbros Movies is good news and only makes us more excited for Avengers: Infinity War to release later this month.
