Just as the new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was unleashed, with fans scouring over every second of footage, directors Anthony and Joe Russo are highlighting one of the movie's many mysteries, the location of the final Infinity Stone, the Soul Stone. Many had hoped and/or assumed that the final Stone would be revealed in Black Panther, before Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters, but that didn't happen, which only fuels the speculative fire even more. While the Russo's didn't say much on Twitter this morning, their tweet has already elicited hundreds of responses. Here's their brief troll tweet in its entirety below.

Naturally, the brothers didn't answer their own question, as the location of the Soul Stone will be quite important in both Avengers: Infinity War and the still-untitled Avengers 4. After Black Panther didn't reveal the Soul Stone, it lead to a number of theories that have surfaced, some of which have been laid out through various merchandise items. The most prominent theory thus far is that Tony Stark himself is the Soul Stone, or at least his new arc reactor is. While Tony needed the arc reactor in his chest to survive after the events of the first Iron Man, he tossed it into the ocean in Iron Man 3, but we know he has a new arc reactor in Avengers: Infinity War, which many are claiming could be the Soul Stone.

This theory first surfaced in artwork that featured all of the Infinity Stones, along with the Marvel heroes that are closely tied to said stones. The Space Gem featured Captain America (Steve Rogers), while the Power Stone featured Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), the Time Stone showcased Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), the Reality Stone included Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Mind Stone featured Vision, but the most surprising was the Soul Stone, which showcased an image of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). While this is by no means confirmation that he has the Soul Stone, it is intriguing, especially considering that all of the other images were accurate in the heroes that are closely tied to each stone.

With a month and a half left until Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters, it's possible that this tweet could be the first of many regarding the Soul Stone from the directors. Or it's also possible that they're just trolling the fans to see how they respond to this tweet. If that's the case, the filmmakers succeeded, since their tweet has over 700 replies with over 4,200 retweets and 8,500 likes in just three hours.

While Black Panther may not have shown the Soul Stone, it's still possible that the stone is in Wakanda, since the trailers have already teased an epic battle in the high-tech African nation, with several heroes fighting off the alien creatures known as the Outriders. As fans continue to count down the days to the April 27 release, it will be interesting to see if any plot details leak before fans head to theaters. Until then, take a look at the tweet from Russo Brothers Twitter below.
