Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson has joined the cast of the indie comedy Bachelorette and the Universal Pictures project Pitch Perfect.

Rebel Wilson will replace Casey Wilson in Bachelorette, since the actress had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts with her ABC series Happy Endings. The story centers on three best friends (Lizzy Caplan, Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher) who are invited to be bridesmaids for a woman they called "Pigface" in high school (Rebel Wilson). The comedy is currently shooting in New York City, with Leslye Headland writing and directing.

Pitch Perfect is based on the book by Mickey Rapkin and centers on a female a cappella group called Divisi which goes head to head with a male a cappella group called The Treblemakers. Rebel Wilson will portray Divisi member Fat Amy. Jason Moore is directing Pitch Perfect from an adapted screenplay by Kay Cannon. Production is scheduled to start this fall in New Orleans.

Rebel Wilson also landed a voice acting gig on the 20th Century Fox animated sequel Ice Age: Continental Drift.
