The latest set photos from Bad Boys for Life features Will Smith in action. Filming for the long-awaited sequel finally started earlier this week. Last week, the cast and crew got together for some rehearsal and pre-production work, which involved watching the first two installments with new directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. Leaked video from the rehearsals found their way online and showed the cast and crew in good spirits as they prepared for this week's shoot.

Part of the footage that was released from last week had Will Smith as Mike Lowrey pointing his gun at the camera for a test. Now, the actor can be seen running down the street and it looks like he might be being chased by someone. Smith's Lowrey definitely does not have the confidence on his face that he had during the camera test last week in the new images. We do know that a drug cartel boss is on the hunt for Mike Lowrey in Bad Boys 3, and these photos might be teasing that.

In addition to the action shots while filming, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence can be seen hanging out and talking between takes while wearing heavy jackets. The two have been pretty forthright with information in regard to Bad Boys 3 and what has been happening behind-the-scenes and fans have been appreciative. However, now that the sequel is filming, there's really no way to control the leaked photos that will undoubtedly be flowing over the next several weeks, unless they start filming on a soundstage. As with most leaked set photos, these don't spoil anything, as they are seen out of context.

Along with stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, Bad Boys 3 also sees the return of Joe Pantoliano as Captain Howard. New cast members Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Charles Melton are on board to play members of AMMO, a highly specialized police unit that helps Lawrence and Smith's characters when a new drug cartel surfaces in Miami. Other new cast members include Jacob Scipio, who plays the drug cartel leader, Paola Nunez, and the recently revealed DJ Khaled.

Things are starting to finally move forward with Bad Boys 3, nearly 20 years after the last installment. Now that filming has started, we can all look forward to the promotional campaign, which will begin before the movie hits theaters next summer. While we're still a long way from that happening, it's just good to know that, after all of these years, the cameras are rolling and everything is in place. It seemed for a while that the third installment was never going to happen, so fans are probably pretty excited at this time.
