According to Home Media Retailing, Bambi II has taken the top spot among Nielsen VideoScan’s First Alert chart.

First week sales of Bambi II have topped 2.5 million copies. Disney has also promoted the point that after 70 days the film will go into the Disney Vault for 7 years to make it available for a new generation of children.

The animated title beat out such contenders as Doom (No. 2), Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (No. 3), Just Like Heaven (No. 4) and Waiting… (No. 5).
