According to Home Media Retailing, 70 days after it’s February 7th release, Bambi II, will be put in the Walt Disney Co.’s vault and not see the light of day again for seven years.

Bambi II is one of 14 franchises in the Disney catalogue. As part of the Platinum Collection, these films are rereleased every 7 years so they can entertain a whole new group of young viewers.

In Bambi II, Bambi reunites with his father, The Great Prince, who must now raise the young fawn and teach him the ways of the forest. But, in the adventure of a lifetime, the proud parent discovers that there is much that he can learn from his spirited young son. Thumper, Flower, Owl and your favorite characters return - and you'll meet some wonderful new friends - as Bambi's magnificent legacy continues.

The first Bambi, came out on DVD last spring but will soon be returning to Disney’s vault.

Excited viewers can even screen an 11-minute glimpse “of select scenes” from Bambi II at www.bambi2DVD.com.

“From all of our video premieres, Bambi II has gotten the highest audience scores in research screenings,” says Lori MacPherson, SVP of brand marketing and product management. “That’s why we wanted to make sure as many people as possible got a chance to see even part of it.”
