Following the international trailer that debuted back in March, A24 Films has released the second trailer for their upcoming action-thriller Barely Lethal. This film marks the latest in A24's unique deal with DirecTV, with the film debuting in an exclusive window for DirecTV subscribers starting April 30, before arriving in theaters and VOD platforms on May 29. This new trailer showcases some of the training that Prescott (Samuel L. Jackson) puts his trainees through at a very young age.

This action-thriller centers on Megan Walsh (Hailee Steinfeld), a teenage special ops agent who yearns for a normal adolescence. After faking her own death she assumes the role of an exchange student and quickly learns that surviving the treacherous waters of a typical American high school can be even more difficult than international espionage. The supporting cast is rounded out by Sophie Turner, Jessica Alba, Jaime King, Dove Cameron, Dan Fogler, Rachael Harris, Alexandra Krosney and Thomas Mann.

Kyle Newman (Fanboys) directs Barely Lethal from a script by John D'Arco. This action-thriller will have plenty of competition when it hits theaters next month, going up against the big-budget disaster film San Andreas and Aloha, but we'll have to wait and see if this will make a dent at the box office. In the meantime, check out the new footage below from Barely Lethal.
