If you missed the The Strain Season 2 premiere last night on FX, then you also missed the debut of the first trailer for The Bastard Executioner! But not too worry, we have the first full look at this latest TV series from Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. It was originally shown at the epic The Bastard Executioner Hall H panel that closed out Comic-Con on Sunday night.

This is the first time in two years that Kurt Sutter hasn't been at Comic-Con with Sons of Anarchy in tow, as Season 7 closed down the series last year. A period drama, The Bastard Executioner tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward I's charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all. We get to see some of the action and excitement in this first sneak peek, but it wasn't the only thing shown off at Comic-Con.

Kurt Sutter also brought a short behind-the-scenes featurette to share with a crowd hungry for his next creative endeavor. He also revealed that he will be making his first cameo in the show soon. He will play the role of a Dark Mute, and will be in full prosthetic makeup. It may be hard to pick him out right away. The Bastard Executioner doesn't have a set release date, but it will debut this fall. Reshoots on the first season are currently happening in Wales. Take a look, and prepare for the next great television drama from FX and Kurt Sutter!
