Virtual reality has been getting bigger and bigger over the last few years, especially with the release of the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and Playstation VR. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are getting in on the action with a new Playstation game dubbed Batman: Arkham VR, and today we have the first trailer. The Batman game was first announced back in June, but today we have our first official look at this highly-anticipated VR experience.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment teamed up with Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy, for Batman: Arkham VR. The game is based on DC's core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system with PlayStation VR in October 2016. This game is the very first virtual reality experience that allows fans to Be the Batman like never before.

Batman: Arkham VR immerses players into the Dark Knight's universe as they experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World's Greatest Detective. Delving deep into an all-new Batman: Arkham mystery, those who enter this virtual reality world must think like Batman and utilize his legendary gadgets to unravel a plot that threatens the lives of his closest allies. Last month, there were several lucky fans who got to experience this game before anyone else, some of whom are featured in this trailer.

At this year's Comic Con International: San Diego, Warner Bros. gave over 500 fans the chance to #WearTheCowl - they are among the first people in the world to play Batman: Arkham VR. If you weren't among these lucky fans in San Diego, then the newest trailer for Batman: Arkham VR will give you a glimpse of what players are calling the closest you'll ever get to stepping into the role of the World's Greatest Detective. The trailer features footage from San Diego Comic-Con, with fans' reactions to the game along with new gameplay footage.

Batman: Arkham VR is the winner of the first ever E3 Game Critics Award for Best VR Game. The game will priced at $19.99.
