For months, leading up to the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters this past March, we've heard that Warner Bros. is moving forward on an Untitled Batman Reboot to be directed, co-written and starring Ben Affleck. We know from Ben Affleck's agent that the actor-director has written a script for this adventure. Now, we have confirmation from Warner Bros.' CEO Kevin Tsujihara that this is actually happening.

Unfortunately, we do not have any further information to go on. Kevin Tsujihara made the announcement today during the Warner Bros. CinemaCon convention. Though, the CEO did not come right out and say that Ben Affleck was directing. Here's what happened according to /film.

"WB head says they will be doing a Batman solo movie "with Ben Affleck". Some are taking that as a confirmation that Ben will be directing."

WSJ journalist Ben Fritz offered a little more information to go on. He says the movie will come out sometime in the next 5 years. And that Ben Affleck is set to run a creative trifecta on the upcoming movie. He explains.

"Warner CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirms for the first time Ben Affleck-directed "Batman" movie is on the slate, will come out in next 5 years."

DC Comics creative mastermind Geoff Johns has already been confirmed to be co-writing the script with Ben Affleck. While no official story details have ever been revealed, it is believe the movie will be an adaptation of Batman: Under the Red Hood, which got a feature length animated adaptation in 2010.

Aside from this confirmation, which many suspected would be announced soon, the DC portion of the Warner Bros. CinemaCon presentation is being called a wash. Margot Robbie, Will Smith and the rest of the Suicide Squad crashed the party to show off an extended trailer, with was basically the same footage that debuted Sunday night during the MTV Movie Awards. Clips from both Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman were shown, but it was the same footage that debuted during The CW special from January. And the Aquaman clip was from his cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Last week, DC and Warner Bros. announced two new DC Comics movies are coming before 2020 along with the previously announced DCEU slate. The first was given a release date of October 5, 2018. Many speculated this would be the date give to the Untitled Batman Reboot. That was not confirmed at today's CinemaCon panel. The other date is November 1, 2019, with many believing that Suicide Squad 2 is being positioned for that slot. It's possible that the two movies could swap these dates, but we don't know what WB and DC are planning just yet.
