Now this is cool! For the first time in history, Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are teaming up. And they're doing it in a new crossover comic from DC and IDW Publishing. We have your first look at the awesome cover art, which features the Dark Knight and the four martial arts masters ready to fight an unseen foe. We also have a look at four pages from the comic. It's any 8-year-old kid's dream come true!
In this one-off comic, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, along with Shredder and the Foot Clan, are transported to an alternate universe. While they usually dwell in the sewer system of New York City, they will soon find themselves in Bruce Wayne's hometown of Gotham. There, they will meet up with Batman. And the five badass vigilantes will go against a rogues gallery of iconic DC Villains, with Shredder jumping in the mix at one point.
DC Entertainment and IDW Publishing actually announced their latest crossover miniseries during IDW's panel at this year's Comic-Con International: San Diego. The first issue in this six-part monthly miniseries goes on sale next week, on Wednesday December 9. And it will arrive with wall-to-wall ninja action.
The story will be brought to life by James Tynion IV and star artist Freddie E. Williams II handling interior and cover art. In addition, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman and other to-be-announced artists will illustrate variant covers. said Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics, Bob Harras.

In the ongoing power struggle between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, General Krang, and the Foot Clan, allegiances have shifted and the battle lines have been drawn. Krang concocts a plan to rid himself of both the Turtles and Shredder by transporting them to another dimension, where they land in the dark and dangerous streets of Gotham City. It isn't long before they encounter Gotham's most famous resident, Batman. The Caped Crusader may be their only hope of overcoming their enemies and getting back home.
