/aquaman-jason-momoa-batman-vs-superman/Interrupting a lot of people's sleep this past week, director Zack Snyder created quite a lot of Internet buzz by officially revealing Jason Momoa as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While the entire costume has been picked apart at this point, with the true meaning behind his armor, weapon and tattoos analyzed beyond the breaking point, the movie's costume designer Michael Wilkinson has come forward to talk about his design and what it means for this iconic character.

Speaking with TooFab, Michael Wilkinson expressed what an honor it was to take on this particular job. The costume designer has previously teamed up with Zack Snyder on Man of Steel, Sucker Punch, Watchmen and 300. About this latest project, he says:

"It has been a thrill and an honor to bring this iconic character to life for a modern audience. Zack Snyder has a brilliant vision for making this character powerful and relevant. I enjoyed designing a costume that reflects this vision and honors the character's rich legacy."

Jason Momoa will make his big screen debut as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though it is rumored that he only has two scenes which amount to nothing more than a glorified cameo. While a solo Aquaman movie is planned for 2018, the character will also appear in 2017's Justice League Part 1 and 2019's Justice League Part 2. Now that you've had some time to think on it, what are your thoughts on Aquaman's new surfer look?
