Last week, a Swedish home video listing shed some new light on Warner Bros.' extended R-rated cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which doesn't have a release date at this time, but will include 30 minutes of footage that wasn't shown in the theatrical cut. That report also revealed there will be more than two hours of special features for fans to dig into, although no details were given about what exactly will be included in the bonus content. While we wait for Warner Bros. to issue an official release date and new details, another report has come in which includes exactly what bonus features will be present on the Blu-ray release.

Australian retailer JB HiFi doesn't have a street date for this Blu-ray release, but their description reveals the Blu-ray will include 10 featurettes. These bonus features are entitled Uniting The World's Finest, Gods And Men: A Meeting Of Giants, The Warrior, The Myth, The Wonder, Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile, Analysing A New Legacy Of Design: Superman, Analysing A New Legacy Of Design: Batman, Analysing A New Legacy Of Design: Wonder Woman, Analysing A New Legacy Of Design: The Batcave, The Might And The Power Of A Punch, The Empire Of Luthor and Save The Bats. The Save the Bats featurette most likely delves into the cast and crew's campaign to spread awareness for a worthy cause.

Way back in 2014, director Zack Snyder joined stars Ben Affleck and Amy Adams in a video to promote Save the Bats Week. The production even contributed materials recycled from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set to build new bat habitats to help these dying creatures. North American bats have been dying off lately due to the spread of a fungus called White Noise Syndrome, which has killed more than 6 million bats to date, as the species is on the brink of extinction.

Of course, this list has yet to be confirmed, and we don't know if it's actually complete, or how long each of these bonus features will run. As for the extra footage, Zack Snyder teased last month that he is putting back scenes that he was forced to cut so the film would get a PG-13 rating. He also revealed that there is no nudity, just more violence that "tipped the scales" from an R rating to PG-13. The filmmaker stated that scenes featuring Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green and iconic bodybuilder guru C.T. Fletcher will be included in the director's cut, along with Jena Malone's scenes, who has long been rumored to be playing Barbara Gordon, a.k.a. Batgirl.

There have also been rumors that Warner Bros. is considering releasing this R-rated extended cut theatrically, but that hasn't been confirmed at this time. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has taken in just over $326 million domestically, with an additional $538.2 million internationally for a global total of $864.2 million. The worldwide tally is good for second best this year, behind Disney's Zootopia ($933.7 million), and it also trails Deadpool ($361.9 million) on the domestic charts as well. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any updates on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's R-rated Ultimate edition as soon as we have more information.
