This Monday, we're going to get the first new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice footage in months. And it is arriving during the Fall Finale of Gotham Season 2. But if two more days seems like an eternity, we have something cool to help tide you over during this long wait. We have a look at three new tie-in book covers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And these kid-friendly tomes give us a fresh look at both Henry Cavill's Kal-El and Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne, both suited up and ready for action!

We're only four months away from finally seeing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters this March. But most of the focus right now is on the December 18 arrival of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So Warner Bros. and DC are being very savvy in how they market their biggest 2016 release. And this is a fun sneak peek that doesn't reveal too much in the way of spoilers. These images come courtesy of IGN, who discovered these upcoming book titles on Amazon.

The first original tie-in novel for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is titled Cross Fire. It is written by Michael Kogge, and it tells an original story that is set before the events depicted in the upcoming blockbuster. The other two books are full-color flip books. The first is Guide to the Man of Steel, and the second is Guide to the Caped Crusader. These entries in the canon will provide fans with everything they need to know about the stars of this new movie. All three books are being published by Scholastic. You'll be able to get your hands on them February 16 of next year, just a little over a month before the movie hits theaters.

Cross Fire marks the first time a major superhero movie franchise has delivered a full-on prequel novel. Though, we're not sure what it will be about. Or how it ties into the overall story being told. In the past, Marvel has released prequel Comic Books that tie into their upcoming big releases. Though, Marvel has never used a pre-released novel to help set up various parts of their on-screen universe. So, it will be interesting to see how this approach pays off for the DCEU in the long run. There will probably be plenty of more DC tie-in books coming soon.

Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman vs Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before. take a look at these new book covers. And then set your DVRs for this Monday. You're not going to want to miss this week's special sneak peek.
