With just over two months left until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters, we're learning new bits and pieces about the cast and the story every day. Earlier today, the IMDB Twitter feed revealed that The Walking Dead star Lauren Cohan has been added to the cast list, with the site revealing that she will play none other than Martha Wayne, Bruce Wayne's mother. In related news, a new video for this highly-anticipated superhero adventure has debuted at the film's official website.

It isn't known how significant a role Lauren Cohan has as Martha Wayne, but it has long been speculated that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will have a flashback scene featuring the death of Bruce Wayne's parents. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has already been confirmed to play Bruce's father, Thomas Wayne, which is ironic since the actor will be joining The Walking Dead at the end of this current season, portraying the iconic villain Negan.

Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth. As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society.Batman fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman's wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction.
