Last week, it was announced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would have a huge presence at Licensing Expo 2015. This was later followed by a new image of the Batmobile being used in the movie. With the event officially kicking off this week, Warner Bros. and DC Comics have finally unveiled the official synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And it pretty much reveals what we've long known about the movie:

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

It's not yet clear if we'll get a good look at any of the toys or merchandise planned for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A first look at Suicide Squad is also planned for Licensing Expo 2015. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be headlined by Henry Cavill as Kal-El and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne. Also appearing in the cast are Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter. The film will set up the two-part epic Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2. We'll have to hold our breath and wait to see if anything else big gets released from the DC Comics Cinematic Universe during the expo this week.
