Earlier today, Warner Bros. released the first official trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, after the first footage leaked online last night. While you continue to pore over the new footage frame by frame, we have over 20 new images from the trailer itself, which give us a great look at both Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) as they square off. The trailer includes footage first shown at Comic Con last year, which now everyone can watch over and over again.

Unfortunately, the trailer and these subsequent images don't show any of the supporting characters, such as Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Callan Mulvey. Since we have just under a year left until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters, it isn't known when we will get our next glimpse of footage. It's possible that the next trailer may debut at Comic Con this summer, which would certainly make sense since Batman v Superman title was first announced at SDCC back in 2013.

Zack Snyder is directing from a screenplay by Chris Terrio. What did you think of the first trailer, and these images below? Are you excited for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice after seeing the first footage, or are you worried that this may not be a big hit with the fanboys? Let us know what you think below.
