Yesterday was a big day for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fans, with the arrival of a new trailer along with photos that tease the arrival of the iconic villain Darkseid. Today we have even more photos from Empire Magazine's new issue, along with two covers, one with Ben Affleck's Batman and the other with Henry Cavill's Superman. Producer Charles Roven also added some insight on this new version of The Dark Knight, and his feud with Superman, in an interview with the publication.
"[Batman] is not giving people a chance. He is more than a vigilante. He has become not only the cop, if you will, he has also become the jury and executioner. He's older, [and] he's seen the worst of what man can do. He's been darkened by it, he's tougher, he's angrier, I guess. He's still lost those that are near and dear to him, and not necessarily from old age or disease."
This epic superhero adventure will also introduce fans to a new version of Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg. We saw in the previous trailer that Lex is responsible for introducing both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne at a charity function, but it isn't known if he truly knows their superhero alter-egos at this point. Still, producer Charles Roven reveals that Lex is "concerned" about Superman's presence on Earth, and that he will use his wealth to help repairing the damage the Man of Steel caused in his battle with General Zod.
"Lex [Luthor] is extremely concerned about what Superman represents. He's a world-class industrialist and businessman, and he's part of the rebuilding of Metropolis."
