With 2015 winding down, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally in theaters, many are looking ahead to next year, and one of 2016's most anticipated movies, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While a number of stars from 2013's Man of Steel will reprise their roles, such as Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), this superhero adventure will introduce a number of new characters as well. One of these new additions, Ben Affleck, was joined by Henry Cavill in an interview with Studio Cine Live (via Batman-News), where they shed some new light on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Here's what Ben Affleck had to say about the villainous Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, whom he calls the most interesting in the movie.

"Between the character that was written by Chris Terrio and Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal, it's the meeting of two great minds, on the same wavelength. Luthor is, for me, the most interesting character in the film. He's radically different from what we've seen so far. He's grounded in reality, and he's extraordinary. This type of film is only as good as its villain. That's why The Dark Knight was so brilliant, because of Heath Ledger's Joker. Jesse improves the film with each scene he's in. He's not your usual one-dimensional villain, there's a whole psychology behind him."

Before Henry Cavill took over as Superman, the iconic character was played by a number of actors on the big screen, such as George Reeves, Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh. At the end of Man of Steel, Clark gets a job as a reporter for The Daily Planet, and we saw in the third Batman v Superman trailer that Clark first meets Bruce Wayne while covering an event for the paper. Here's what Henry Cavill had to say about how his portrayal of the journalist Clark Kent will differ from Christopher Reeve's "clumsy" portrayal.

"Comparisons with Christopher Reeve's clumsy Clark Kent are inevitable. My Clark Kent is trying to be as small and invisible as possible. If you're awkward and spilling things constantly, people are going to notice you, and that's not the best way to go unseen. You have to admit, it's not a remarkable disguise, just a pair of glasses. He'd like to think that no one will believe he could be Superman). How could such a delicate flower be a living god? Preposterous."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will kick off Warner Bros.' DC Comics Extended Universe (DCEU) on March 25, 2016. Just a few months later, the villains will take over with Suicide Squad (August 5, 2016), which will also feature an appearance by Ben Affleck as The Dark Knight. Those movies will be followed by Wonder Woman (June 23, 2017), Justice League Part 1 (November 17, 2017), The Flash (March 23, 2018), Aquaman (July 27, 2018), Shazam! (April 5, 2019), Justice League Part 2 (June 14, 2019), Cyborg (April 3, 2020) and Green Lantern Corps. (June 19, 2020). Ben Affleck is also reportedly developing a new stand alone Batman trilogy, but the studio hasn't issued any official word on those films yet. In addition to these details, we also have the new magazine cover from Studio Cine Live, featuring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, who is seen striking a new pose that reveals more of her costume.
