As production continues on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in Detroit, new details are trickling in from the set, including confirmation that part of this massive superhero adventure will be set in Washington D.C.

Twitter user BananaDoc recently posted new photos from the set showcasing taxi cabs, police cars and buses that feature Washington D.C. emblems, which you can check out below, then read on to find out how the nation's capitol figures into the plot. There will be spoilers below the photos, so read on at your own risk.

Batman News' source reveals that a major action sequence was shot in a Detroit studio last month, which involves Superman (Henry Cavill) and the U.S. Capitol building. Superman heads to D.C. to answer for all of the destruction he caused in Man of Steel. The site also reports that half of the American public blame Kal-El for the Metropolis destruction, since General Zod (Michael Shannon) would have never come to Earth if Superman wasn't here.

Naturally, none of this has been confirmed by Warner Bros. at this time, but are you excited to see Superman answer for destroying Metropolis? Chime in with your thoughts below.
