As Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice continues production under the direction of Zack Snyder, new plot details have surfaced, hinting that this highly-anticipated feature may create a direct link to Suicide Squad. A report from Badass Digest reveals that The Joker already exists in the world of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Superman (Henry Cavill) is aware of him. Jared Leto is in final talks to play The Joker in Suicide Squad, but the character is likely to be referenced by name alone in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
There have been reports that Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, will also be appearing in Suicide Squad. It's possible that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25, 2016) will help set up the events seen in Suicide Squad (August 5, 2016), since they're being released to bookend the year for Warner Bros. and DC.
This latest report also 'confirms' the villainous Doomsday will make an appearance at some point during the movie. We reported back in July that early designs for Doomsday were spotted, but his involvement has never been verified by anyone at Warner Bros. or DC. Badass Digest reports that, by the end of the movie, fans will have met Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Doomsday. It isn't clear who is playing the villain at this point. The site also confirms another report from earlier this month that revealed KGBeast and NKVDemon will have some sort of presence in this superhero adventure.
While NKVDemon isn't mentioned in this new report, KGBeast, a.k.a. Anatoli Knyazev, is reportedly one of Lex Luthor's agents who keeps tabs on all of the other "metahumans". In the comics, KGBeast is primarily a Batman villain, who was introduced in the 1988 title Ten Beasts of the Night as an enhanced KGB agent who came to the U.S. to eliminate 10 targets. While battling Batman, KGBeast cut off his own hand to escape, which he later replaced with a cybernetic gun. However, in the movie, this version of KGBeast will not be seen, but he is mentioned in the script as Anatoli Knyazev.
All of Luthor's dark agents are particularly focused on "a wonder woman," which is an obvious nod to Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. What's interesting is Wonder Woman reportedly still walks the streets today, despite having been spotted in pictures dating back to the 1800s. This does fall in line with a report from October, where producer Charles Roven revealed that Wonder Woman is a demi-god, fathered by Zeus, which would explain why she doesn't age throughout the centuries.
