Back in November, we reported that composer Junkie XL will collaborate with Hans Zimmer on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice score.Hans Zimmer is working on the Superman theme while Junkie XL crafts the Batman soundtrack music. Over the weekend, Junkie XL took to his Twitter page, where he reveals that he has just finished mixing the long-awaited Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, which he described as "awesome." He also essentially confirms a report from last week that the trailer will debut in front of Mad Max: Fury Road, which hits theaters on May 15.
Production wrapped on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice back in December, and fans have been waiting to see the first official trailer ever since then. Warner Bros. has yet to officially confirm that the trailer will debut with Mad Max: Fury Road, but it certainly makes sense, because Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the most highly-anticipated movies this summer. Junkie XL also reveals that he wrote new music for this trailer with Hans Zimmer, which means the first trailer will offer our first tease of his new Batman theme.
There have been rumors that the first trailer is "Batman-heavy," giving us a proper introduction to Ben Affleck's new version of The Dark Knight, but that has yet to be confirmed. There were several fans who reacted negatively to the casting, but, as production continued throughout last year, fans seemed to warm up to the idea of Ben Affleck playing Batman. While the trailer may in fact be "awesome," as Junkie XL says, we have no clue about what we may see in this first sneak peek, or how long it will be. We still have just under a year to wait until this superhero adventure hits theaters, so it may just be a brief teaser. Take a look at Junkie XL's tweets below, and stay tuned for more on the first Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer.
