Earlier today, Baywatch stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron premiered the first footage from this adaptation on social media. The sexy beachside adventure moved up one week from May 19, 2017 to May 26, 2017, which falls on Memorial Day weekend. These brief videos provide just a tiny taste of all the ocean action before the full trailer debuts tomorrow, Thursday, December 8. We'll be sure to bring you the full trailer as soon as it arrives. But in the meantime, these two teasers help set the tone for this big screen adventure.

Dwayne Johnson's Twitter video teases that the "ocean's most powerful force will emerge," transitioning to a shot of The Rock carrying a lifeless body out of the water. Zac Efron's teaser video shows footage of his character Matt Brody, who is seen jumping off his motorcycle directly into the ocean to save a victim, along with another funnier moment where he meets Alexandra Daddario's Summer Quinn, who catches Matt staring at her chest.

Production wrapped back in May, with the first official cast photo being released, featuring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach and Alexandra Daddario. While Paramount hasn't released an official plot synopsis yet, it has been rumored that Dwayne Johnson's Mitch Buchannon, described as a "by-the-book lifeguard," teams up with Zac Efron's Matt Brody, said to be a "rule-flouting hothead," to save their beach from "envinronmental destruction" by an oil tycoon. Hopefully we'll learn more about this story once the first trailer debuts.

The cast also includes Ilfenesh Hadera, Hannibal Buress, Jack Kesy, Jon Bass, Amin Joseph, Belinda, Izabel Goulart and Charlotte McKinney. Original Baywatch stars David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson will also come aboard for cameo roles, but little is known about their appearnces at this time. The new Memorial Day release date puts Baywatch up against another highly-anticipated movie, Disney's long-awaited sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. This could be quite the intriguing box office showdown next May, with two of Hollywood's biggest stars squaring off.

Dwayne Johnson made headlines earlier this year when he invited an ailing young fan to the set of this R-rated adaptation. The actor extended the invitation to a seven-year-old Tennessee cancer patient named Gabriel "Tater" Singleton, after the young boy and his family started a social media campaign to meet the actor. Tater has bene fighting cancer for the past four of his seven years, undergoing eight surgeries, two stem cell transplants.

Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) is directing the Baywatch remake from a screenplay most recently written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th). Justin Malen (Bad Teacher 2) wrote the original draft of the script, with Dwayne Johnson also producing alongside Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman. Take a look at these preview videos below, before the full Baywatch trailer arrives tomorrow.
