It was an interesting week on the sales and rental charts.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Universal's Because I Said So was No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart. Holding strong for the third week in a row on Home Media Magazine's rental chart was Fox Home Entertainment's Night at the Museum.

In sales, Warner Bros. saw Music and Lyrics come in at No. 2 and in rentals it placed in the No. 5 position.

Sony saw Catch and Release come in at the No. 5 spot in sales, while it placed at No. 7 in rentals. Paramount watched Dreamgirls dance to the No. 3 spot in sales. (It had been No. 1 last week).

Looking at high definition titles...

It seems that "62% of the discs purchased by consumers for the week ending May 13 were Blu-ray Disc, while 38% were HD DVD."

Warner Bros. saw their title Planet Earth: The Complete Collection be "the top seller on all three HD disc charts: Blu-ray, HD DVD and blended."
