Ben Affleck has signed onto star in Nathan Decker, a political comedy being set up at Warner Bros. Although the project does not have a director yet, Ben Affleck is only attached to star, and does not plan to helm the project himself.

Dan Fogelman (Crazy Stupid Love) wrote the screenplay, which was picked up last year by the studio and once had Tom Cruise attached to play the title character. The story centers on a politician who is caught having an affair, and returns to his hometown to confront his past.

The studio is currently looking for a director, although it isn't known when production may begin. Ben Affleck is currently in post-production on Argo, his latest directorial effort which is set for release September 14.
