Christopher Rush's novel Will has been picked up by Ben Kingsley and his SBK Pictures production house for a theatrical adaptation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this will be the first production to come out of SBK.

The plot revolves around a fictitious meeting between William Shakespeare and his lawyer, in which they discuss his last will and testament while the Bard lay dying in bed. Kingsley will star in the film as Shakespeare. He will also produce the film with partners Valerie Hoffman and Simone Sheffield.

Kinsley stated, "Christopher wrote the most amazing, literate and entertaining novel I've read in years, and I'm both honored and excited to be part of bringing Will' to life."

The film will go before the cameras early next year in the U.K.
