Academy Award-winner Benicio Del Toro, Michael Berry Jr., Paul Dano, Tom Noonan, Catherine O'Hara, Forest Whitaker and Michelle Williams have all joined the voice cast of the highly anticipated adaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are.

The film, written and directed by Spike Jonze, will combine voice performances, live-action puppetry and computer animation. The story surrounds itself with the adventures of Max, a rebellious young boy who runs away from home after a fight with his mother and finds himself in a forest where the wild things roam, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Warner Bros. Pictures is producing Where The Wild Things Are; they're hoping for a 2008 release date.
