If you’re still undecided if you want to see the recent Lionsgate thriller Fall, which arrived in theatres back on August 12th, perhaps this exclusive clip from the film will change your mind. The film stars Grace Caroline Currey (Shazam!) and Virginia Gardner (Marvel’s Runaways) as best friends named Becky and Hunter, two experienced climbers who get more than they bargained for during an outing.

Becky’s husband Dan, played by Mason Gooding, who’ll you’ll next see in the upcoming sixth Scream film, has passed away during a climbing accident. In order to get her back up on that horse, Hunter takes Becky to climb the abandoned 2,000 ft B67 TV Tower in the California desert. Naturally, things do not go according to plan.

The beginning of the clip, which comes exclusively from Screen Rant, sees Hunter tell Becky to only look up, only for her to ignore that faster than you can say, “Shrek, I’m looking down.” Naturally, Becky starts freaking out and questioning what they’re even doing. Hunter tells Becky to stop overthinking and to concentrate on something else, suggesting that she start singing a nursery rhyme.

Becky does so and starts singing “Ring Around the Rosie,” a song theorized to reference people dying during a plague. That’s also not without getting into how one of the lyrics is ‘all fall down.’ Hunter even tells her, “I wouldn’t have picked that one,” before making it to the top.

Hunter tells Becky that the top will look worse than it is, only for Becky to start pleading just to go back down. An option that will not be available for long as the clip ends with the bolts keeping the ladder connected to the tower starting to loosen. The trailer for the film provides you with a look at the collapse, which you can find here.

Lionsgate

Fall was directed and co-written by Scott Mann, who previously made 2015’s Heist. Mann co-wrote the film with Jonathan Frank. The two of them have collaborated several times in the past. Their previous work has contained plenty of fear-inducing situations for the audience and characters alike. Such as during 2009’s The Tournament, which was about a group of the world’s greatest assassins raging a battle royale in an unsuspecting town.

Fall is also from the producers of 47 Meters Down, which also concerned two people becoming trapped in a potentially lethal situation. It has a runtime of 107 minutes and is rated PG-13. Jefferey Dean Morgan appears in a supporting role as Becky’s father. If you’re still on the fence about seeing the film, there’s a review of the movie that you can find here to take into consideration.

Other recent releases from Lionsgate include Rolan Emmerich’s apocalyptic, sci-fi drama Moonfall and the meta adventure comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which they co-produced as well as distributed. Besides that, the studio is also behind Clerks III, the threequel to Kevin Smith’s directorial debut, which is scheduled to be released on September 13th.
