Valentine's Day is quite the day to start shooting a horror movie, isn't it?

It has been announced that the upcoming Brazilian horror film Beyond the Grave will commence principal photography on February 14. The film will be shot on location in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The film will surround a hardened cop (Rafael Tombini) who pursues a serial killer through downtrodden dystopic slums of Brazil - where the living dead reside.

"Beyond the Grave is very close to an art-house horror film. There is a very personal and mythological universe behind this," says writer-director Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro. "This is not only a Brazilian take on the zombie genre, this is shaping into something really unexpected, even to us."
