Shamy is in danger of never getting back together. And their recent break may become even more complicated by the introduction of two new characters in Season 9 of The Big Bang Theory. While it hasn't been confirmed, it is believed that the recent addition of two guest stars hint that both Sheldon and Amy will be playing the field. And, oh, man! It's going to get ugly for the two former love birds.

Especially when Amy gets a load of Sheldon's new gal pal. TVLine has the first news about this possible 'Love Interest Initiation'. As we saw in last week's episode The Perspiration Implementation, Jim Parsons's Sheldon has decided that the only way he is ever going to get over Amy is if he throws himself back into the dating pool. His first attempts failed miserably, as he tried to pick up a young lady and her mom at the local watering hole, where Leonard and his pals proved to have more money than their core audience by gulping down a couple of Ballist Points, the most expensive Beer in Pasadena. But perhaps not all the pretty ladies in South Pass will be turned off by Shelly's whack-a-doo ways.

The CBS sitcom, which is more popular now that it has ever been, is bringing in Analeigh Tipton. And it's suspected that she will capture the heart of Sheldon. She'll clearly provide some stiff competition for Amy. Not only is Analeigh Tipton an actress, she is also an American figure skater and fashion model who most notably placed third on Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model. She's also known for her roles in Crazy Stupid Love and Warm Bodies.

Mayim Bialik's Amy won't be doing so bad for herself, as it seems she may have landed Hello Ladies star and frequent Ricky Gervais collaborator Stephen Merchant as her rebound boyfriend. While CBS wouldn't confirm whom these two actors are playing, they are confirmed to show up this season in some capacity. Audience members who attended the live studio taping where both characters made their debut suggested that these two are the respective future dates for broken-up Amy and Sheldon. But it's unclear if there is a real vested interest by either party, or if this is all a ploy to make the other jealous.

In an interesting twist of fate, Analeigh Tipton has actually appeared on The Big Bang Theory before. She played herself several seasons ago in a storyline that revolved around America's Next Top Model. This time out, though, it sounds like she will be playing an actual character created for the show. Not only do we have new love interests for both Sheldon and Amy to look forward to in the upcoming future, we're also going to get an episode tied directly into Star Wars: The Force Awakens before the midseason break. What do you think? Do you like the idea of Sheldon and Amy finding new lovers? And, oh, my...What if Sheldon lost his V card to someone that wasn't Amy? Would that devastate everyone involved including the fans? Yes, it just might. In fact, it might be more devastating than being attached by a Serial Ape-Ist!
