The little boy from Big Daddy is all grown up as seen in a new reunion photo of lead actors Adam Sandler and Cole Sprouse. In the classic 1999 comedy, a six-year-old Sprouse and his twin brother Dylan shared the role of Julian, the young child Sandler's character adopts to impress his girlfriend. Twenty years later, the fictional father and son reunited at the Los Angeles premiere of Sandler's newest movie Uncut Gems. You can see a photo of the reunion in the tweet below.

Directed by Dennis Dugan, Big Daddy premiered in theaters in the summer of 1999. It starred Adam Sandler as a thirty-something slacker named Sonny whose girlfriend leaves him for an older man. To win her back, he adopts a five-year-old boy, Julian, to prove he can be responsible, but the desperate move fails to impress her. Still, Sonny finds himself enjoying fatherhood, taking Julian under his wing and teaching him some of life's most important lessons - such as how to properly pee on a wall. The film is widely regarded as one of Sandler's best and was also his highest-grossing movie until 2015's Hotel Transylvania 2.

Big Daddy has also gotten some recent recognition from Funko, as the "Scuba Steve" persona from the comedy has been made into an Adam Sandler Funko Pop figure. The company has also unveiled several other Pops for many of Sandler's other popular comedies from the '90s, including The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, and Billy Madison. There has been a lot of excitement surrounding the figures, proving just how popular Sandler's classic comedies continue to be after over two decades.

Following the release of Big Daddy, the Sprouse twins became Disney Channel stars by co-starring as the titular characters in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. The two also starred in its spin-off The Suite Life on Deck and reprised the roles for many other Disney series as well. More recently, Cole Sprouse can be seen in a starring role as Jughead Jones on the hit series Riverdale.

Uncut Gems is co-directed by Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie, with the pair using a screenplay they wrote with Ronald Bronstein. The movie stars Sandler as New York City jeweler Howard Ratner, a man looking to score big with a series of high-stakes bets, all the while trying to find the balance between business and family. Clearly a must-watch, Uncut Gems has been met with universal praise from its early reviews, with Sandler's performance in particular receiving tremendous critical acclaim. The National Board of Review also named the movie as one of 2019's ten best films, with Adam Sandler winning Best Actor and the script earning Best Original Screenplay.

You can catch Sandler in Uncut Gems now in select theaters, with a wide theatrical release following on Dec. 25. Sandler has come a long way as an actor and many critics are saying his role in Uncut Gems is among his best performances, but longtime fans of the actor will always have a fond appreciation for his classic comedies like Big Daddy.
