A new trailer for Big Shark, the newest movie from the mastermind behind the legendary film The Room, has been released. As highlighted in the acclaimed movie The Disaster Artist, Tommy Wiseau was the writer, director, and star of The Room, a film that has garnered a large cult followings with regular screenings in theaters across the nation every year. Wiseau hasn't helmed a feature film in the years since The Room was released in 2003, but he'll soon be releasing his next movie, Big Shark, which looks to be more or less what you'd expect a shark horror film from the creator of The Room to look like.

The trailer picks up with amateur boxers duking it out in a ring, unaware of the true danger that's about to fall upon them. A gigantic shark, somehow capable of traversing through the air, suddenly attacks. The trailer closes out with a slow-motion shot of Wiseau running alongside another survivor outside as the big shark comes swooping in behind them, hoping to catch a bite. A release date isn't divulged, though the film is promised to be "coming soon." Immediately following the trailer is a minute-long ad promoting Wiseau's line of men's underwear with some rather groovy music playing.

Wiseau first announced Big Shark back in 2019. The movie follows three firefighters named Georgie, Patrick, and Tim as they work to save New Orleans from an attack by a big shark. It was originally announced that The Room star Greg Sestero would be joining Wiseau as one of the three leads alongside Isaiah Laborde. However, Sestero is noticably absent in the new trailer, and it's not clear if he's still involved with the project. Variety reports that LaBorde is still a part of the cast, as is Mark Valeriano.
