Barry star Anthony Carrigan has been cast as the villain in Bill & Ted Face the Music. Alex Winter revealed that the long awaited sequel has finally started production earlier this week, so all of the recent casting new makes a lot of sense. Carrigan joins the cast, which also includes Winter, Keanu Reeves, William Sadler, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, and Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi. Fans have been waiting a long time to see this sequel and it's finally actually happening.

Details surrounding the Anthony Carrigan role are being kept under wraps for the time being. So far, it has only been confirmed that he will be the villain in Bill & Ted 3. Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the screenwriting duo behind the first two installments are back with Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot behind the camera. With production now underway, we should get some more updates, along with some pictures from the New Orleans set.

Scott Mescudi's role is also a mystery at this time, but Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine have been cast as the duo's daughters in the sequel. Along with the return of Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, fans are excited to see William Sadler reprise his role as death from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Before Bill & Ted 3 was officially announced, Ed Solomon revealed they had a part written for Sadler, who excitedly declared he would love to return on social media. His part is said to be pretty amazing this time around, at least according to what Solomon had to say about a year ago.

Keanu Reeves seems to be taking a page from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's book and decided he no longer needs vacations or days off. The actor is coming off of the successful John Wick 3, which is still in the top ten after bringing in over $277 million globally in its first month in theaters. A sequel has been announced and the actor may have found some more work with his Toy Story 4 character Duke Caboom. Reeves is all over the place and is very happy to return for Bill & Ted 3 with his old friend Alex Winter.

As for Anthony Carrigan, his star is on the rise. The actor plays NoHo Hank on the hit HBO series Barry and he has been receiving heaps of praise for his take on the character. Some critics have even deemed Carrigan's Hank to be one of the best characters on TV right now. Carrigan also starred on Gotham as Victor Zsasz. The actor has alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss and with his look, some might assume he could be the offspring of De Nomolos in Bill & Ted 3. That obviously has not been confirmed, but it could end up happening. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to announce the Anthony Carrigan casting news.
