It's really happening. Bill & Ted Face the Music is currently shooting and today we have a look at quite a few set photos. We get to see both Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves back inside their time traveling phone booth as Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted 'Theodore' Logan. There are also some surprises along the way.
Perhaps Bill and Ted have traveled back to 1968. We see them using the circuits of time in their latest adventure, and who should show up but Jimi Hendrix. We also get our first look at Thea and Billie, Bill & Ted's daughters who join them on this most excellent adventure, as played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine. They both appear to have their dad's sense of style.
Ted is back to wearing his old Chuck Taylor's in these latest images. Both Bill & Ted wore the classic gym shoe in Excellent Adventure, before trading up for some Adidas Torsion high tops in Bogus Journey. Bill is rocking some all new footwear here, though. His style hasn't changed much. He has his flannel tied around his waist, and he's wearing a Wyld Stallyns T-shirt. Ted continues wearing red, as he did in the first two movies, though he's also wearing a hip grey suit jacket and matching pants.
We don't learn much about the movie from these first photos, except that Bill and Ted are definitely traveling through time, and their daughters are along for the ride. In fact, it appears that Thea is wearing the same red Hawaiian shirt that her dad had on in the final moments of Excellent Adventure. We knew Bill and Ted would be running into some musicians of historical significance on this trip. So far, we're only getting a look at Jimi Hendrix. Rumor has it that Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison may also show up, but that is just a rumor.
In Bill and Ted face the Music, a visitor from the future tells best friends Bill and Ted that one of their songs can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. It was reported earlier today that Jillian Bell will be playing the family therapist, Dr. Taylor Wood. Scott Mescudi and Anthony Carrigan have joined the sci-fi comedy in undisclosed roles. Beck Bennett will be playing Ted's brother Deacon. Erinn Hayes has taken on the role of Ted's Princess Wife and Jayma Mays is playing Bill's wife. William Sadler is back as death, with Amy Stoch reprising her role as Missy and Hal Landon Jr. playing Ted's military school obsessed father Chet.
Anthony Carrigan is playing the villain. His true role has not been revealed, but many believe he is either Death Jr. or the son of De Nomolos. Those secrets may be unveiled as shooting on the long-awaited comedy continues. You can take a look at the various set photos that have arrived thus far.
