Excellent! Next August, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey stars Keanu Reeves, and Alex Winter will return as Ted 'Theodore' Logan and Bill S. Preston in Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot's Bill & Ted Face the Music.

It was just the other day that we shared a first look at Samara Weaving as Bill's daughter Thea Preston and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Ted's daughter Billie Logan in some pre-production pics. Production on the new film was all slated to start in March but was pushed back until June earlier this year.

And wouldn't you know it? It's now June, and sure enough, it looks like filming has just kicked off. In fact, star Alex Winter took to Twitter to celebrate the kick off of principal photography, writing this.

"Just got to the location to shoot Bill and Ted 3. Making movies is a miraculous gig, but it's also stressful & fairly nuts. Good to be here with Ed Solomon, our great director & producer, many folks I've known most of my life. We're family, and that makes this all the more special."

I don't know about you, but I couldn't be more excited to see Reeves and Winter back in the roles of Bill and Ted. Sure the guys are way too old to be still acting in such dumb comedy movies, but isn't that precisely the point? I think their age will make for some genuinely classic Bill and Ted moments and I know I will be there opening night to find out if this is yet another excellent entry in the hilarious buddy-comedy series. Add in the fact that this time around Bill and Ted are a couple of dads and this might just be an utter classic. Finger crossed, right? Plus, the movie gets all the bonus points I can award for bringing back Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey co-star William Sadler as the Grim Reaper. Bring it on, I say!

As mentioned above, Galaxy Quest and Fun with Dick and Jane director Dean Parisot will helm this new adventure Bill & Ted Face the Music from a screenplay written by Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey screenwriters Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Scott Kroopf is producing the movie along with Alex Lebovici, and Steve Ponce. Traffic and Ocean's 11 director Steven Soderbergh serves as the film's executive producer along with Scott Fischer, John Ryan Jr., and John Santilli.

Along with Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Bill & Ted Face the Music stars Brigette Lundy-Paine as Ted's daughter Billie Logan and Samara Weaving (Netflix's The Babysitter, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) as Bill's daughter Thea Preston. Kid Cudi recently joined in on the party in a currently unnamed role and once again, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey co-star William Sadler will return as the Grim Reaper. Bill & Ted Face the Music is currently filming in New Orleans and is scheduled to wrap by August 2019, and then the film is all set to, you know, face the music in a theater near you on August 21, 2020.
