Bill & Ted Face the Music brings Amy Stoch and Hal Landon Jr. back to reprise their roles. Stoch played Missy while Landon Jr. portrayed Ted's father, Chet, the police chief in the previous installments. Saturday Night Live star Beck Bennett has also joined the cast of the Logan family. Bennett will round out the Logan family as Deacon, Ted's younger brother. Keanu Reeves is obviously back to play Ted "Theodore" Logan in the long awaited sequel.

Along with Amy Stoch as Missy, who has previously been both Bill and Ted's step-mom and was last seen hooking up with De Nomolos, and Hal Landon Jr. as Ted's dad Chet, Alex Winter will reprise his role as Bill S. Preston, Esq. for Bill & Ted 3 and he is excited to be back with Keanu Reeves and crew. Winter and Reeves have talked about a possible sequel for years, but it took a long time to get the story right and then find the funding. Thankfully, original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon were able to come up with the perfect story to keep the franchise moving forward. Both Matheson and Solomon are also very happy to have the gang back together.

In addition to Alex Winter, Keanu Reeves, Amy Stoch, Hal Landon Jr., and Beck Bennett, Bill & Ted 3 recently added some other cast members. Barry breakout star Anthony Carrigan has been cast as the villain in the sequel, though it isn't clear who he is playing at the moment. However, there have been rumors he is playing the son of Joss Ackland's villainous De Nomolos from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. There are also some fans who think Carrigan could be playing the son of William Sadler's Death. Both seem to be good guesses for the time being.

William Sadler is reprising his role of Death for Bill & Ted 3. Newcomers Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine have signed on to play the daughters of our titular characters, while Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi, is playing a mystery character. It looks like the cast of the sequel is really starting to come together with both old and new faces as Bill and Ted set out on their new journey to save the universe with a new song.

Bill & Ted 3 hits theaters August 21st, 2020. We still have over a year to go before the sequel opens, but there's still plenty to look forward to down the line. Pictures from the set should be on the way very soon, which should be pretty awesome or at least most excellent as we see Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves back in character for the first time in nearly 30 years. One has to wonder if Winter's Bill will still have the hots for Amy Stoch's Missy after all of this time, especially now that he has a wife and daughter. Variety was the first to announce the latest casting news from Bill & Ted Face the Music.
