Bill Hader is in talks to star alongside Amy Schumer in the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy Trainwreck.

We first reported on this comedy back in November, when Judd Apatow signed on to direct from Amy Schumer's screenplay. While no details were given regarding Bill Hader's role, it's possible he could be playing the boyfriend of Amy Schumer's character. Our November report revealed that the boyfriend character was one of three roles the filmmakers were casting, along with the lead's best friend/co-worker and one of her parents. While specific plot details are being kept under wraps, the story follows a downtrodden young woman (Amy Schumer) who attempts to put her life back together.

Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer are also producing alongside Barry Mendel. It isn't known when production may begin, although Universal Pictures recently set a July 24, 2015 release date for the comedy.

Bill Hader most recently lent his voice to the animated comedy Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. His indie drama The Skeleton Twins debuted at Sundance earlier this month.
