We reported on Monday that the original Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund, stated on the radio program Loveline that he heard Billy Bob Thornton was up for the role of the new Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film. So, how much truth is there to this rumor? Considerably less than before, now that it was revealed where the rumor started.

iF Magazine ran an interview with Englund and when asked about the Billy Bob/Freddy Krueger item, Englund had this to say.
