SPOILER ALERT: Potential major spoilers for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to follow...

Salt shovels at the ready, as newly emerged rumors claim to reveal the general plot of the upcoming Marvel sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. A Reddit user has posted the information regarding the plot, which have allegedly come courtesy of notable insider Daniel RPK, and confirm that yes, the Black Panther follow-up will introduce Atlantis, Namor, and more to the MCU.

While somewhat vague, the plot outline also reveals that Man Up and Harley Quinn star Lake Bell will make her MCU debut, playing a major role in proceedings alongside Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams AKA Ironheart. “Lake Bell plays a scientist who is an original character and her team searching for vibranium in the ocean thanks to a device made by Riri Williams,” the outline begins.

This leads to the debut of Namor the Sub-Mariner, who is “awakened” and proceeds to kill the team headed up by Lake Bell’s scientist. “Namor wants to kill Riri but Wakanda protects her - Riri's first suit is made out of cars but when she gets to Wakanda she gets one made out of vibranium,” the description continues.

The outline goes on to reveal that T’Challa, played by the late, great Chadwick Boseman, passes away from “sickness” prior to the start of the “war between Wakanda and Atlantis.” This is where Shuri enters the fray, making “an artificial flower to gain the black panther powers and gain the ancestral plane.” This leads to a major cameo, as Shuri expects to see T'Challa again but instead meets Killmonger, who “helps her become the new Black Panther.”

The nations of Wakanda and Atlantis then do battle, ending when Shuri “defeats Namor but doesn't kill him.” It is then revealed that Mbaku becomes “the new king of Wakanda whule Shuri is the Black Panther,” allowing two fan-favorite characters to continue the legacy left behind by Boseman’s T’Challa together. Finally, “Nakia tells Shuri that she has a son from T’Challa,” which again will allow the franchise to keep the memory of the character and the actor alive going forward.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Post Credits Scene Cameo Revealed

The plot outline even goes on to reveal which major Marvel character will make an appearance during a post credits scene. Allegedly, a post credits scene has been filmed with a stand-in starring as “Dr. Doom which is thought to be the one who sent Lake Bell’s team.” Meaning that, not only will Black Panther: Wakanda Forever introduce the likes of Ironheart and Namor, but also the beloved villain Doctor Doom, with the cameo no doubt leading to more from the Fantastic Four as we await their solo outing.

While all of this information remains unconfirmed, and admittedly rather vague, it does line up with everything we have learned about the movie so far. It also sounds like it would do well at paying homage to Chadwick Boseman, something which many of the cast and crew involved have hoped to do.

Directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Dominique Thorne, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to be released on November 11, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
