The United States government listed Wakanda as a free trade partner on the USDA website. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans quickly found out and the news began to spread very quickly. Obviously, Wakanda is a fictional country from the movie and comic books Black Panther, so how did this happen? As with most things these days, there is a pretty clear and concise explanation, though a lot of people don't want to believe it. As of this writing, the USDA has addressed the situation.

MCU fans searching for Wakanda or even Black Panther may currently be led to the USDA website. The official U.S. website has Wakanda listed as a free trade partner, which has been spotted by numerous fans as of this writing. With that being said, the USDA has acknowledged the goof and taken it down as of today. "While we removed the Kingdom of Wakanda from our list of US free trade partners, our relationship will always be strong," said the USDA on social media. According to sources, Wakanda was only thrown in during a website test and then mistakenly left on when the site went live where it quickly became the butt of some social media jokes.

As for what Wakanda was trading on the USDA website, they had donkeys, corn, dairy cows, and ducks, to name a few. Strangely, there was no mention of Vibranium, but then again, that is probably supposed to be kept under wraps. We don't need the Vibranium falling into the wrong hands again like in the first Black Panther movie. As for people not familiar with the MCU or the comics, they were left wondering if there was a new country that nobody told them about.

One of the best reactions to the Wakanda free trade mistake has to be one simple question posed by a fan on social media: "Wakanda mistake was that?" Social media exploded with all kinds of jokes and puns from the website test that was accidentally left up for the world to see. "Well where do people think we get our Vibranium from?" was another question that was asked many times on Twitter. Regardless, it's pretty amazing to see how far and wide the influence of Marvel Studios reaches. It's only a matter of time before Trump tries to start a trade war with the fictional country.

The U.S. government had a reference to Black Panther and the MCU on the official USDA website. That has to be something that makes Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige sit back and laugh at. Chadwick Boseman and the rest of the cast are all preparing to return in Black Panther 2, which will begin production as soon as Ryan Coogler finishes the long-awaited script. For now, MCU fans can have fun in knowing that even the United States government is into the MCU. The BBC was the first to report on the Wakanda USDA news.
