Liam Neeson is Travis, the 'fixer' who is looking forward to using his much-needed retirement to make up for lost time with his granddaughter, where he had failed with his daughter, in the new action-thriller Blacklight. Briarcliff Entertainment has just released the new trailer showing that no matter how hard you try to get out of the business, they pull you back in! Our earnest Aidan Quinn is devasting as a colleague turned villain. He's up against a proven entity that doles out vengeance like nobody's business. What's he thinking? Has he not seen Taken?

The official synopsis reads: "Trust, identity and the danger of unchecked power push a covert operative to the edge in director Mark Williams' intense action-thriller Blacklight. Travis Block (Neeson) lives and fights in the shadows. A freelance government "fixer," Block is a dangerous man whose assignments have included extracting agents out of deep-cover situations. When Block discovers a shadowy program called Operation Unity is striking down ordinary citizens for reasons known only to Block's boss, FBI chief Robinson (Quinn), he enlists the help of a journalist (Raver-Lampman), but his past and present collide when his daughter and granddaughter are threatened. Now Block needs to rescue the people he loves and expose the truth for a shot at redemption. Nothing and no one is safe when secrets are hidden in Blacklight."

Liam Neeson is joined by Aidan Quinn, Taylor John Smith, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Zac Lemons and Andrew Shaw in Blacklight. Neeson will play Travis Block, a shadowy government agent specializing in removing operatives whose covers have been exposed. Block uncovers a deadly conspiracy within his ranks that reaches the highest echelons of power. The film is directed by Mark Williams (Honest Thief starring Liam Neeson, A Definitely or Maybe), and the screenplay was penned by Nick May.

Following Blacklight, Neeson will be starring in Retribution alongside Matthew Modine, Embeth Davidtz and Arian Moayed in the remake of the 2015 Spanish film El Desconocido. A bank executive, while driving his children to school, receives a bomb threat that his car will explode if they stop and get out.

Liam Neeson Will Present the Wonders of Ireland in IMAX in February

Neeson will have two films debuting in February. Balancing the action thriller will be his narration of the MacGillivray Freeman FIlms IMAX documentary, Ireland. Neeson will introduce the audience to the wonders of Ireland, its landscape, traditions and history, following Irish writer Manchán Magan in his attempt to reignite the passion of people of Irish heritage around the world and invite them to reconnect with their heritage.

"There is a movement in Ireland to reconnect with our heritage, to rediscover what it means to be Irish, and I am delighted to help bring the joy and diversity of all that Ireland has to offer, both the old and the new, to IMAX and giant-screen audiences worldwide," said Liam Neeson. "As viewers experience Ireland's great beauty and humanity on the world's largest screens, they will fall in love all over again."
