Spike TV is partnering with Wizard Entertainment Group to promote the channel's first original, scripted offering Blade: The Series at Wizard World Los Angeles (March 17-19) and Wizard World Philadelphia (June 2-4) shows, it was announced by Dario Spina, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Spike TV.

"Wizard World Los Angeles is the perfect venue for us to offer a sneak peek at this amazing series which targets men who love action, adventure and fantasy," said Mr. Spina. "The Wizard World conventions excel at bringing the best in pop-culture entertainment to an enormous fan base that we are looking to serve."

Highlights of Spike TV's participation at the Wizard World Los Angeles during the weekend of March 17th will include a Blade: The Series panel session featuring writer Geoff Johns and an exclusive trailer from the series. Spike TV will also have a booth at the show offering autograph sessions with Johns and additional network talent including wrestlers from Spike TV's TNA: IMPACT! series, premiums and, in keeping with the spirit of the Blade: The Series, lurking vampires will troll the booth seeking victims.

Blade: The Series, produced by New Line Television, stars Kirk "Sticky" Jones in the lead role of Marvel's immortal half-man, half-vampire warrior who fights to keep the world safe from the denizens of the dark who seek to destroy mankind. Also featured in the series are Jill Wagner ("Monk"), Neil Jackson ("Stargate SG-1"), Nelson Lee (Traffic, the TV mini-series) and Jessica Gower ("Blurred").

The weekly series of 11 one-hour episodes kicks off in July, following the world premiere of the tele-movie on June 28, 2006.
