It's a big day for Bob Barker, as the TV icon and Happy Gilmore actor has just turned 99 years old. As a former host of The Price Is Right for many years, Barker has long been a beloved television personality, and that's more clear than ever with how much love he's getting on social media in honor of his 99th birthday. However he's choosing to celebrate, it should help for him to know that fans everywhere along with colleagues in show business are wishing him the very best for the occasion."This is a special Monday because it is Bob Barker's Birthday. Let the day be as amazing as ever," tweets the official account for The Price Is Right.

"Wow. Happy 99th birthday to Bob Barker," says This Is Spinal Tap and Better Call Saul actor Michael McKean.

"Happy 99th Birthday to Bob Barker. The man who single-handedly got every GenX through their sick days home from school," tweets a fan of the legend.

As Barker memorably beat up Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore, there are fans of that film thinking back upon that scene. The video is getting shared on social media with one fan writing, "Happy 99th Birthday to TV Legend Bob Barker who gave us one of the funniest moments in comedy history when he and Adam Sandler had an absolute slugfest in Happy Gilmore."

He's also been honored with a post from the U.S. Naval Institute acknowledging his service. That post reads, "Happy 99th Birthday to former THE PRICE IS RIGHT host Bob Barker. Barker served as a naval aviator during WWII, flying 8 different aircraft including the Wildcat and Corsair. Of the entertainers who are WWII veterans, few are left."

Even the pro wrestling community is celebrating Barker for his birthday by sharing a clip of his memorable appearance guest-hosting WWE Raw in 2009. In the clip, Barker is confronted by villainous wrestler Chris Jericho, but he refuses to back down, threatening to put Jericho "over my knee" if he needed to.

The Price Is Right is the longest-running daytime game show in North American history, and a big part of that has to do with Bob Barker serving as its host for such a long time. He'd been hosting since 1972 before retiring in 2007, following a 50-year career as a television personality. Drew Carey stepped in as his successor and continues hosting the show to this day. Barker has been in and out of the hospital on occasion since suffering a stroke in 2002, but he's still going strong, seemingly making the most of his retirement.
