Bob Hoskins is set to star in the Canadian telefilm, The Englishman's Boy for Minds Eye Entertainment.

Directed by John Smith, the story will focus on an ambitious movie producer in 1920s Hollywood (Hoskins) who asks a young Canadian writer, played by Michael Therriault, to track down an elusive Western actor (Nicholas Campbell) whose story will provide the storyline for a new film, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

The Englishman's Boy will air as a two-part, four-hour miniseries on the Canadian Broadcasting Corp (CBC).
