By the end of the series, Obi-Wan Kenobi had delivered on its promise of having some “wonderful cameos” as we were promised by Ewan McGregor. However, one cameo that arrived early on and was missed by some viewers, was the fleeting appearance of The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison, who had a small scene with McGregor in the second episode of the series. For Morrison, it was a great chance to reunite again with McGregor, who he first worked opposite in the franchise way back in 2002’s Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, in which he played Jango Fett.

Temuera Morrison’s Star Wars journey has been as extraordinary as his character’s journey, having started out playing the father of Boba Fett in the second prequel movie, Morrison has since appeared as the face of many clones in Revenge of the Sith, and more recently returned as the adult Boba Fett in The Mandalorian and spin-off series, The Book of Boba Fett. His appearance as a clone veteran in Obi-Wan Kenobi is just another expansion of his time in the franchise, and speaking to Total Film, the actor commented on how it allowed him to reconnect with McGregor. He said:

“It was a wonderful opportunity to pop in there and see what they're doing across the room from where we were. That came in handy, it worked out quite good to make a little cameo. I enjoyed working with Ewan again, going back to Attack of the Clones. We did all that [puts on clone character's voice], 'Hey, you! You came to see me and this army,' and all that stuff. It was a wonderful time.”

Very much in the same way as McGregor’s Kenobi, there is nothing yet set in stone about Temuera Morrison’s future in the Star Wars franchise. While there has been no word of whether he will make a return as Boba Fett in either The Mandalorian or another Boba Fett spin-off series, there are some fans hoping that he could even make a return as the clone Captain Rex in Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka series.

One thing about playing a character with many clones to their name is that Morrison could remain a part of the Star Wars franchise for a long time to come, playing a number of different characters. Whether that will happen is something that mostly seems to be in the hands of the likes of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.

As for whether we will see Ewan McGregor continue his time in the Star Wars saga as Obi-Wan Kenobi, that seems to be down to whether they can come up with a story worthy of the character. McGregor has made it clear that he would love to come back again, and with director Deborah Chow previously saying that there are still “a lot of stories to tell”, who knows what could lie ahead for the Jedi Master in the future.
