A party game hits far too close to home in the latest trailer for the upcoming slasher flick, Bodies Bodies Bodies. Directed by Halina Reijn, the latest look at Bodies Bodies Bodies comes courtesy of celebrated studio A24, and teases the horrors that transpire at this house party gone wrong.

Bodies Bodies Bodies begins when a group of rich 20-somethings plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion. During the festivities, the group decides to play an innocent game of Bodies Bodies Bodies, a murder in the dark-style game. But when a real murder takes place, the game suddenly becomes a reality and the group will have to again search for the murderer among them.

Led by The Hate U Give star Amandla Stenberg as Sophie, who is recently sober, and Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson as the excessively wealthy David, the rest of the supporting cast behind Bodies Bodies Bodies includes Maria Bakalova as Bee, Myha'la Herrold as Jordan, Chase Sui Wonders as Emma, Rachel Sennott as Alice, and Lee Pace as Greg.

Bodies Bodies Bodies is full to the brim with backstabbing, fake friends, unexpected edibles, awkward interactions, and other such painful social dynamics as the movie primises to bring both the laughs and the terror during this house party that goes very, very wrong.

Bodies Bodies Bodies is currently sitting at an incredibly fresh 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, with many heaping praise on the movies approach to the slasher genre for modern audiences.

“Bodies Bodies Bodies is a comedy-thriller for the online generation with as much tension as humor,” says Rafael Motamayor from IGN, while Abby Olcese from RogerEbert.com commends the cast adding, “Bodies Bodies Bodies smartly allows its talented cast to dig themselves into a gloriously silly (and bloody) hole, keeping viewers guessing about the resolution until the final minutes.”

Bringing horror to the world of Gen Z is achieved with massive success in Bodies Bodies Bodies according to Robert Daniels of indieWire who says, “Its the uproarious image of rich kids without wifi, descending into frothing at the mouth, bloody madness, that makes Reijins Bodies Bodies Bodies an unmistakable Gen Z anthem for blood.”

Bloody Disgusting’s Meagan Navarro meanwhile described Bodies Bodies Bodies as “a dementedly fun time” praising the horror project for using the simple murder in the dark-style game as a framing device; “Using a familiar social deduction game to implode an affluent group of fake friends in the most heinous way makes for a dementedly fun time thats just as mean-spirited with the horror as it is the comedy.”

Bodies Bodies Bodies had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 14, 2022 and is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2022, by A24. It certainly sounds like Bodies Bodies Bodies will be a welcome addition to the slasher genre, as well as another excellent outing in the A24 repertoire.
