Columbia Pictures confirmed James Bond 22 will open November 7, 2008, rather than the original date of May 2, 2008.

The Hollywood Reporter notes Sony Pictures Entertainment vice chairman Jeff Blake said the studio, along with partners MGM and British production company EON Prods., are in talks to bring on a new director after Roger Michell left the project; no new names have been mentioned.

The latest Bond flick, Casino Royale, will hit theaters this November 17th.
