One of this fall's strangest movies has to be Boo! A Madea Halloween. Sure, it's part of a long running comedy franchise, but it all started as a joke. And now it's a movie. And on top of that, it's a spoof spoofing other horror movies! Will the madness ever end? Not as long as Tyler Perry is alive. While the filmmaker had originally planned to stop making Madea movies, he just couldn't resist resurrecting the sassy grandma for another adventure, this one taking place on everyone's favorite fall holiday.

"Something freaky is happening to the family living in this house. And a woman has been sent to help. That woman is Madea!"

So reads the tagline on the latest one-sheet for Boo! This poster is clearly parodying the classic 1970s thriller The Exorcist, instead giving us Tyler Perry's Madea as The Exorsister. We can only assume that she is going to scream the demons out of whatever possessed soul is unlucky enough to have to contend with this burly business. Hopefully, the movie goes all the way this Halloween, and gives us Madea in a true exorcist-type setting.

In Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween, Madea winds up in the middle of mayhem when she spends a hilarious, haunted Halloween fending off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls, and zombies while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens. The film's origins date back to when Perry and Chris Rock came together to include a fictitious Madea Halloween movie in Chris Rock's film Top Five. Lionsgate then approached Perry and suggested that they make the movie for real.

Tyler Perry will play the roles of Madea, in addition to the roles of Joe and Brian. The film will also star Bella Thorne as Rain, Cassi Davis as Aunt Bam, Patrice Lovely as Hattie, Andre Hall as Quinton, Yousef Erakat as Jonathan, Lexy Panterra as Leah, Diamond White as Tiffany, Liza Koshy as Aday, Brock O'Hurn as Horse, Jimmy Tatro as Sean, JC Caylen as Mikey, Kian Lawley as Bean Boy, and Mike Tornabene as "Dino." Production took place in Atlanta earlier this year at Tyler Perry Studios.

Tyler Perry writes, produces, directs, and stars in the latest project with the popular character Madea. Ozzie Areu and Will Areu will also be producers on the film. Boo! A Madea Halloween will be released in one of the more competitive release dates this year, with a whopping six movies opening in wide release. This comedy will be going up against Paramount's Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, 20th Century Fox's Keeping Up With the Joneses, Focus Features' A Monster Calls, Universal's Ouija: Origin of Evil and PureFlix's I'm Not Ashamed.

This will be Tyler Perry's first Madea movie since A Madea Christmas, which took in $52.5 million domestically back in 2013. You can take a look at the Exorsister poster along with the rest of the fun spoof posters that have been released thus far. It's possible that Madea's latest adventure becomes one of this fall's biggest blockbuster hits.
